How Do Biomass Steam Boilers Work

The main working principle of biomass steam boilers is to use the heat energy released after the combustion of biomass fuel to transfer to the water in the container, and convert it into a thermal equipment with a certain pressure of steam. The boiler operates simultaneously in both the "pot" and "furnace" parts. After water enters the boiler, the heat absorbed by the heating surface of the boiler in the steam water system is transferred to the feedwater, causing the water to generate steam, which is then introduced for application. In the combustion equipment section, fuel combustion continuously releases heat, and the high-temperature flue gas generated by combustion transfers the heat to the heating surface of the boiler. The temperature gradually decreases and is finally discharged by the chimney.

Biomass boiler fuel mostly comes from renewable resources such as crops and sawdust. These resources have low sulfur and phosphorus content, do not produce sulfur dioxide and phosphorus pentoxide during combustion, do not cause acid rain, and do not pollute the environment. Especially able to alleviate the harm of northern haze weather to human health and travel, it belongs to green and clean energy.

Biomass formed fuel has high volatility, easy precipitation, good carbon activity, flammability, low ash content, fast ignition, and reduces enterprise usage costs. The ash from biomass fuel combustion can be recycled as potassium fertilizer, achieving a green cycle of "straw fuel fertilizer".
